Annual Craft and Vintage Fair to come to Darwen Live Markers of Market Square, Saturday 25th May 10am – 4pm
Following the success of last year’s event, Blackburn with Darwen Council is pleased to welcome back Crafty Vintage with Darwen Live Makers of Market Square. The event will take place on Saturday 25th May, 10am – 4pm in the newly refurbished Darwen Market Square. This is set to be a fun, family focused craft and vintage fair with live entertainment throughout.
Award winning Crafty Vintage are the purveyors of classic vintage, collectables, retro wares, quirky handmade, fine foods and delectable cuisine. Come along and you will see a splendid showcase of talent from the finest creators, collectors and artisans in the land. Live music, entertainers and lots of merriment will ensure that you have a wonderful day.
You will find familiar faces too, as there will be pop up magic shows and craft workshops inside Darwen Market, alongside our lovely Darwen Market traders, who will be ready to welcome you with quality products, services and a friendly smile as usual!
Cllr Riley, Executive Member for Regeneration, said,
“It is good to be welcoming the Makers of Market Square event back to Darwen in a very different looking Darwen Market Square. This is exactly the type of event, run by a local business that we want to see taking place in Darwen. The space is there for the community of Darwen to use; whether that is charities and community groups raising awareness, large scale music events such as Darwen Live, outdoor markets and fairs or simply sitting down to enjoy the space whilst eating lunch.”

Laura Johnson, Owner of Crafty Vintage said,
“We had an overwhelming response to this event; our traders snapped up the slots that we had available in record time! They really enjoyed coming to Darwen last year and we expect that this year’s event will be equally as successful, if not better, for everyone! We are excited about the quality of the traders and the entertainment that we have planned this year. All we need now is to book the sunshine again!”
She went on to say, we have a fantastic line up on Market Square of live music too including Billy Bibby of Catfish and The Bottlemen fame, vintage vocals and acoustic sets plus a violinist in the Market Hall and Annexe. This will be a spectacular free day out with something for all the family to enjoy”

Take part in our circus school learning skills such as scarf juggling, magic tricks, hula hooping & ribbon work! Upon completion receive you very own Clown Nose & Certificate before posing for a themed photograph with the hosts themselves.

Delivered by industry professionals of touring musical theatre company, Just Imagine UK. Take part in a 45 minute class starting with an energetic warm up and concluding with a relaxing cool down and meditation. Between your warm up and cool down you will learn Street Choreography to showcase to parent's upon completion!

Delivered by industry professionals of touring musical theatre company, Just Imagine UK. With Little Miss Wonka & Oompa Loompa SidekickFizz, Whizz, BANG! An experiment in the Chocolate Factory has gone a little topsy turvy and we need your help to make it right. Learn how to become a Master Chocolatier, Taste test our latest inventions and take our Oomptastic Training Course to receive a delicious sweet treat & certificate before posing for a themed photograph with the hosts themselves!
