Things to Do in St Annes: Independent Shops, Ashton Gardens & the New Artisan Market
St Annes is one of those seaside towns that quietly surprises you — full of independent shops, beautiful gardens, and welcoming cafés.
Yesterday, we were out and about spreading the word about the new St Annes Artisan Market launching Saturday 11th April in the recently refurbishes St Annes Square, and it reminded us just how much this town has to offer.
Discover the Charm of St Annes
St Annes is brimming with quirkiness, style, and lovely folk. Beyond the magnificently refurbished St Annes Square, there is an abundance of independent shops, cafés, and hidden gems to explore.
From antiques and vintage treasures to interiors, crafts, music shops, and artisan food, it’s the kind of place where every corner has something new to discover.
During our visit, we were warmly welcomed by some fantastic local businesses who kindly displayed our market posters:
Curious Devices - Record Exchange & Vintage
Magic Loop- Wool Shop
Pot Bound - CIC Craft Shop
HipInteriors- Interior design, mid century and up-cycled
Mabel's Coffee Lounge St Anne's- Coffee Shop
Wordly Antiques
Mirrie Dancer Bakery & Cafe- Bakery & Cafe
Glansin - Coffee & Bakes
And of course:🐾 Blossom – our four-legged promotional assistant

A Morning Walk Through Ashton Gardens
One of the highlights of our visit was a stroll through Ashton Gardens in the morning sunshine.
These beautiful historic gardens feature landscaped lawns, colourful planting, and an elegant pavilion, providing a peaceful retreat right in the heart of the town.

Seaside Finale
After clocking up over 10,000 steps promoting the market, the grand finale (and Blossom’s well-earned treat) was a run along St Annes Beach. 🌞🌳🐾
A special shout-out also goes to the lovely local deli St Anne’s fine foods who kindly gave Blossom some chicken and sausage to keep her going on our travels around town!
