The Christmas countdown has officially started, and this year it’s got a serious groove.
The brand new John Lewis Christmas advert just dropped, and the nation is already humming along to Alison Limerick’s 90s house classic Where Love Lives. Reimagined by Labrinth, it’s the perfect mix of nostalgia, vinyl and feel good energy. A son gifts his dad the track that defined his youth, reminding us that great music never fades, it just finds new ways to bring people together.
But while the rest of the country is rediscovering 90s dance, Lancashire has been keeping that beat alive for years.
Here at Crafty Vintage, we have always believed that the best events are about more than what’s on stage. They are about atmosphere, community, and that shared spark you feel when music, creativity and good company collide. That is what our events are built on, and the 90s sound fits it perfectly.
Across the years, we have celebrated that golden era at venues and town squares across the North West, bringing together local makers, foodies and families alongside the soundtrack of a generation. From N Trance and D:Ream to K Klass, Graeme Park and Crazy P, our line ups have always been about connection, good vibes and pure party spirit. Each event blends artisan stalls, live DJs, street food and festive surprises that make every Crafty Vintage gathering feel special.
And this Christmas, the celebration continues as Kelly Llorenna, the powerhouse voice behind Heart of Gold and True Love Never Dies, takes to the stage at the Darwen Christmas Lights Switch On on Saturday 15 November.
Produced in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Council and Darwen Town Council, the event promises nine hours of live music, street food, artisan stalls, storytelling, dancing and festive fun for the whole family. Expect a headline DJ set from Sam Flanagan, appearances from local performers and choirs, and that unmistakable Crafty Vintage atmosphere that brings everyone together in the heart of Darwen.
“The 90s gave us unity, positivity and escapism,” says Crafty Vintage co founder Laura Johnson. “Those same feelings are exactly what people are craving again, and that’s what we are bringing back to town centres this Christmas.”
As the nation rediscovers its love for 90s dance through the John Lewis campaign, Lancashire is already leading the charge. From the warehouse raves of Blackburn to today’s town centre celebrations, the beat goes on — and this Christmas, it’s louder, brighter and more joyful than ever.
See you at the front!
