THE LIVING CITY - CRAFTY VINTAGE MARKETPLACE
Time & Location
About the Event
Crafty Vintage Marketplace will showcase over 60 makers, creators and collectors selling a mix of vintage, vegan, ethical, upcycling and handmade wares.
A modern day marketplace with emphasis on sustainabilty and how products that we buy do not need to have an impact on our cities or planet.
Ways of living more sustainably can take many forms from reorganizing living conditions to thinking about the products we buy.
A series of talks and workshops exploring what makes a city sustainable.
Current topics and workshops include what does it mean to be a ‘healthy /sustainable city?’ how do we design a walkable city and what are the considerations for sustainable housing, transport, finance, night-time economy, food, artistic intervention and culture. The programme is supported by and developed with local and national partners across academic research, the cultural sector, local non-profits as well as The British Council, Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, Creative Lancashire and The Royal Society of Arts.
